Privacy Policy
This policy explains what MKN Web Solutions, LLC ("we", "us") collects when you use ForVows, how we use it, and the choices you have. It covers hosts with accounts, the guests they invite and the vendors they work with.
1. What we collect
- Account details - your name, email address and sign-in information.
- Event content - what hosts add: event details, guest lists (names, email addresses, mobile numbers, RSVPs, meal choices, dietary notes), vendors and their contact people, budgets, payments and tasks.
- Messages - emails and texts sent and received through ForVows, including vendors' replies.
- What guests submit - RSVP responses and the contact details a guest enters on an RSVP page.
- Technical data - IP address, browser and device information, sign-in cookies and service logs.
2. How we use it
To run the Service: showing events and invitations, sending the emails and texts hosts and guests ask for (including RSVP codes), routing vendors' replies back to the right event, keeping accounts secure, preventing abuse and answering support requests. We don't sell personal information and we don't use it for advertising.
3. Text messages
Mobile numbers and text-message consent are used only to send the messages described in our Terms of Service and to honor STOP and HELP requests.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Our messaging provider processes numbers only to deliver the texts.
4. Concierge (AI)
Concierge sends event plans and vendor messages to our AI provider (OpenAI) to produce drafts, summaries and suggestions on our behalf. Plan reviews leave out guests' names and contact details.
5. Who we share it with
- Service providers that run ForVows for us: Amazon Web Services (hosting, storage, email and text delivery) and OpenAI (Concierge).
- The host's workspace members, and guests who view the event information the host publishes to them.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or a successor if MKN Web Solutions, LLC's business is transferred - under this same policy.
6. Cookies
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you signed in and a short-lived cookie on RSVP pages to remember a verified guest. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
7. Keeping and protecting it
We keep information while the account or event it belongs to exists, plus a limited time in backups. Data is stored in the United States, encrypted in transit, and access is limited to people who need it to run the Service.
8. Your choices
You can update or delete what you've added in ForVows. To access, correct or delete your information - including as a guest or vendor added by a host - contact mike@mkn.us. Every invitation email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text.
9. Children
ForVows isn't directed to children under 13, and accounts are for adults. Hosts may list children who attend an event as part of a guest's party.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We'll change the date at the top and tell signed-in users about significant changes.
